LAN Gran Reserva
A tribute to time, patience, and mastery, LAN Gran Reserva is crafted from vines over 40 years old. Aged for 28 months in hybrid American and French oak barrels, followed by 36 months of bottle aging, this wine showcases the wisdom and elegance bestowed by time.
Grape Varieties:
97% Tempranillo, 3% Mazuelo.
Vineyards:
The Tempranillo grapes are handpicked from low-yield, 30-year-old bush vines in Haro, Villalba, and Foncea (Rioja Alta). The Mazuelo comes from select plots in Cenicero (Rioja Alta).
Winemaking:
Fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled 30ºC, followed by a 3-week maceration with daily over-pumping to extract vibrant color and aroma.
Aging:
28 months in hybrid oak barrels combine the best of American and French oak characteristics, followed by 36 months of bottle rounding for depth and harmony.
Tasting Notes:
A deep red-garnet color with a ruby rim. The nose bursts with ripe black fruit, figs, and hints of raisins, intertwined with smoky and spicy nuances. The palate is harmonious, with balanced acidity and gentle tannins leading to a long, lingering finish that echoes the ripe fruit and spices.
An exceptional wine, perfect for savoring with rich dishes like roasted lamb, game meats, or aged cheeses.
